A Long History of Excellence!
Hoag & Sons’ was first
known as the Springport Bookbindery, established in 1893 by John
Ellsworth Hoag. Hoag a poultry farmer by trade, began book binding
as a personal hobby eventually turning it into his profession. Over
the years Hoag’s son and grandson took over the business,
changing the name to Hoag and Sons’, Inc. The company bound
books, periodicals and newspapers, eventually focusing on the binding
of periodicals and newspapers. Still located in Springport, Michigan,
the binding facilities have grown but the original building in which
J.E. Hoag began the business in 1893 still remains a part of the
structure.
In
January of 2003 Media Technologies, Inc. purchased Hoag & Sons’.
With 110 years of experience and more than 2500 customers from all
50 states, Hoag & Sons’ has expanded its services, ranging
from traditional hard cover binding and microfilming services to
fully searchable, web-based solutions for information retrieval
and archiving.
The
longevity of Hoag’s existence is not by accident. Listening
to the needs of our customers and finding solutions to those needs,
has been and will continue to be our commitment to our customers.
Preserving
published history throughout the U.S. for more than 110 years!
